How You Can Help

  • Volunteer your time and talent for heart screening events.
  • Facilitate a presentation by Saving Young Hearts to your school, business, church, neighborhood group, civic organization or club.
  • Check with your school or local recreation leagues to see if they have a Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) program.
  • Ask your local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to train school teachers and coaches in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
  • Ask local community organizations to hold fundraisers to provide AEDs to local buildings.
  • Become a CPR/AED trainer and provide service to your local community.
  • Contact your local state representative or senator’s office to see if any bills to protect youth from sudden cardiac arrest and death may be pending and how you can support or introduce them.
